GRIIDC is in Read Only Mode!

Tropical Depression Harvey in the Gulf of Mexico has triggered the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative Information & Data Cooperative (GRIIDC) Hurricane Response Plan.

The primary GRIIDC system is housed on the Gulf coast at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Our Hurricane Response Plan requires us to use a mirror system housed at Texas A&M University-College Station. Our mirror system maintains public access to all datasets in the GRIIDC system. However, to avoid any potential loss of data the mirror system will not accept any Dataset Information Forms or Dataset Submissions. Additionally, there will be a delay in completion of dataset package review and availability of recently submitted datasets.

Please do not access the GRIIDC system to submit DIFs or datasets until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate your patience. We will continue to monitor the storm and hope to be able to accept data again soon.
